Hello War Eagle Band Boosters! Happy Sunday, & yes we survived the 1ST FULL WEEK OF SCHOOL!
The marching practices this week went well, and we are proud of how hard all of the students have been working on their marching show! We are excited to see how it goes for our first football game!
Now on to the upcoming events and information for this week!
UNIFORM CREW NEEDS HELP IRONING PANT LEG HEMS:
We STILL have a “pressing need” for parent volunteers to come to the band hall during school or during marching practice to iron the hems of the bibbers. Pam Clements will have irons & ironing boards set up in the uniform room all this week, 7:30am to the end of practice time. We MUST have all the bibber hems pressed neatly & looking sharp BEFORE our first game this Fri Aug 31!
DISNEY CONTRACTS ARE DUE BY THIS FRI AUG 31:
If your student would like to reserve their spot for the Disney Trip March 2019, now is the time to turn in the contract. You may pay the 1st installment via Charms, but the contract itself must be turned in to Ms. P in order for your reservation to be complete.
Also remember that all fair share fees must be satisfied before your student is allowed to reserve a spot for Disney. If you are working Pavilion to pay for Fair Share/trip fees, please check your accounts on a regular basis and keep track of the shows you work, etc.
FIRST FOOTBALL GAME IS THIS FRI AUG 31:
We are excited and getting geared up for our first football game! This will be an awesome start to our marching season, and we need all parent volunteers to plug in & get involved to make it a success!
There are still opportunities in Charms to sign up to help with pre-game meals, chaperones, pit crew.
Please note, any first time volunteers for chaperone or pit crew needs to purchase the required shirt at or before the game. Please contact Pam Clements or Larry Clements if any questions.
Please refer to Mrs. P’s email to know what your students need to bring on Game Day, so they are prepared & ready for their first game! It’s gonna be alot of fun!
1ST FLAG HOLIDAY-LABOR DAY IS THIS SAT SEPT 1ST!!
Please mark your calendars now to help with our first flag holiday of 2018-2019 season on Sat Sept 1st from 8am-11am at flag storage. We need ALL HANDS ON DECK to ensure this program remains successful and supports our community and country. Thanks for all who have signed up already in Charms, but there are still plenty of spots that need to be filled. Flags will stay out for 2 weeks to cover both Labor Day & Patriots Day. Flag return will be Sat Sept 15 8am-11am.
Any questions? Please contact Melissa Lunkwitz & our flag committee. firstname.lastname@example.org
CHARMS ACCOUNT STATEMENTS WILL BE GOING OUT SOON:
Please note that your students account statements will be going out via email soon. Disney trips, Fair share fees, etc will all be listed on the statements.
Any questions regarding statements, please contact Terri Conley. email@example.com
1ST PROP BUILDING DAY WAS A SUCCESS:
A BIG THANK YOU to the parent volunteers who came out this past Saturday & helped with the props for our marching show! We were able to get 11 out of the 18 front screens completed and boy are they “bright & beautiful”! Please stay tuned for the next prop building date. We will let you know as soon as possible so you can join us!
SNAP RAISE & MATTRESS FUNDRAISERS ARE VITAL TO OUR PROGRAM:
Please be sure you are spreading the word about Snap Raise and our Mattress Fundraiser NOW! We only have 11 days left for Snap Raise, and our Mattress Fundraiser is set for Sat Sept 22. Mark your calendars now! We need all students to participate for this to be successful and our budget depends on these events to sustain our level of commitment to the program! Remember you can share these events on social media, so please get the word out in our community!
PAVILION CONCERTS ARE STILL NEEDING FULL STAFF:
Please log into Charms and check the volunteer availability for upcoming concerts. Thanks to the white shirts for keeping this important fundraiser going strong, but we still have lots of opportunities for parents to volunteer and earn those points! Especially for Majic Under the Stars and BuzzFEST in October! Please contact the white shirt crew if any questions. firstname.lastname@example.org
SPIRIT SALES AND SECTION SHIRTS:
The spirit sales will be available the first football game this Friday Aug 31, so please stop by the table and pick up your War Eagle Band/Color Guard shirts to show your support! Also, your studentswill be getting the section shirt pre-order forms soon! So be on the lookout for those and be sure they are turned in as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued support of our amazing students and this awesome booster club!
GO WAR EAGLE BAND!
